Welcome to the PPMS update page. This page is only for customers who rent the software or have an up to date maintenance contract.

It is recommended that you only install the update during our office hours (9.00 - 5.00, Monday-Friday) in case you have any problems.

Release notes

  1. To Download the latest update forVersion 8 only, click for here ( release date 23rd June 2011) and then save the file to your desktop. This is assuming you are downloading onto the same computer which has PPMS installed. If not, save it onto a floppy disk or other media instead.
  2. If you are running the system on a network make sure the other users are out of the PPMS system.
  3. Backup your datafile (c:\ppms_podiatry\chirop.df1). To do this, select quick backup from the File menu and then select YES to backup your data. Make sure the backup finishes with the message '1 file(s) have been backed up successfully'.
  4. Quit the podiatry system
  5. Double click on the Podiatry update.exe file on your desktop or floppy disk. This will copy the update into the default PPMS_PODIATRY folder on drive C. If your PPMS system is not installed here you will need to browse and locate the folder yourself.
  6. Launch the PPMS system as normal. The software may ask if you want to 'Update the data dictionary', 'run update routines' and 'reorganise data'. Answer YES to these questions. If the update runs correctly it will finish with a message saying 'Update routines complete'. If you do not get this message or if you get any other error messages please contact us on 0191 387 5230

  7. You can now delete the Podiaty update.exe file from your desktop or memory stick.
